Old Oaths Sink into Frost

Kael once poured his own blood into three wolf Alphas, only to be betrayed by the very ones he raised. Cast off as a useless Grey-Class wizard, he now has one chance to save himself: win the academy tournament with Nyx, or be handed over to his family’s plan to sacrifice him to a dragon. His brother works against him, and his former companions turn on him, never suspecting whose blood gave them their power. But the serpent everyone calls heartless chooses Kael instead, and their bond begins to unsettle everyone who thought he was finished.
